They perform well on a wide variety of floor surfaces and are known for their long-lasting durability. To maintain optimal performance—especially on softer floors like VCT tile or wood—regular floor cleaning is recommended, as particles like dirt and sand can accumulate on the glide surface over time. With proper maintenance, this helps preserve both the floor and the glide. In high-traffic environments like schools, it’s worth noting that chairs with nylon glides may produce more noticeable movement sounds, depending on the flooring type. However, this can often be addressed with felt covers or alternative glide materials if quieter operation is a priority.
