Project Highlight: Theresa C. Wildcat Early Learning
The Theresa C. Wildcat Early Learning Centre is a 2,721 m² facility designed to serve 232 students at opening day capacity. This $16.76 million project provides a flexible, forward-thinking learning environment that supports evolving teaching methods and future educational innovations.
Guided by the Four Pillars of the Maskwacis Declaration of Education:
-
Wâhkôhtowin (Relationships)
-
Nehiyawewin (Cree Language)
-
Nehiyaw Pimâtisôwin (Cree Way of Life)
-
Îyinîw Mâmitonehicikan (Cree Thinking and Spirituality)
The design emphasizes cultural revitalization and community connection.
This new kindergarten facility welcomes students from four Cree Nations within the Maskwacis community and was created with the intent to honour and strengthen Indigenous philosophies, traditional knowledge, and Cree culture.
Spaces Inc. was proud to provide furnishings for this meaningful project, supporting an environment that inspires young learners while reflecting the rich heritage of the Ermineskin Cree Nation.
