St. Pius X School marks a significant advancement for education in Regina, replacing the original 1950s-era building with a modern, future-ready facility tailored for today’s learners.

​

Designed as part of a collaborative joint-use campus, the school accommodates Pre-K to Grade 8 students, serving up to 400 learners in a thoughtfully planned environment. The campus also features a 51-space child-care centre and welcoming community areas, extending opportunities for engagement and learning beyond the classroom walls.

​

Central to the design is a bright, two-storey student commons, highlighted by a terraced amphitheatre staircase and a flexible performance space. Classrooms are adaptable and complemented by dedicated collaboration zones that foster creativity, teamwork, and innovative thinking.

 

Sustainability played a major role in the project, with energy-efficient systems and eco-conscious design elements that reduce operating costs while supporting healthier, more comfortable learning spaces. Outdoor learning environments, a shared mini-gym, and a community kitchen provide additional wellness and enrichment opportunities for students and staff alike.

 

Spaces Inc contributed to the project by supplying student desks, shaped activity tables, flip-top tables, mobile tote storage, window shades, and selected seating—helping create versatile, functional, and engaging spaces aligned with the school’s vision for 21st Century Learning.

 

Through thoughtful design, modern amenities, and a focus on innovation, St. Pius X School delivers a vibrant, student-centered campus designed to serve the Regina community for years to come.
