Penhold Waskaoo Middle School
Project Highlight: Penhold Waskasoo Middle School
We are excited to highlight our work on the brand-new Penhold Waskasoo Middle School Project, a $39 million investment by the Chinook’s Edge School Division. Serving students from grades 4 to 8, the school is designed to accommodate 560 learners, with the ability to expand to 725 students in the future.
The design of Penhold Waskasoo Middle School has been described as “community-focused”. With the gymnasium and cafeteria located at the front entrance, the building welcomes both students and the wider community into a space that is open, inclusive, and designed to bring people together. This vision aligns with modern approaches to school design, where learning environments double as community hubs.
Our team at Spaces Inc. was proud to furnish a wide range of spaces within the new school. From classroom desks and chairs that support daily learning, to soft lounge seating in collaborative areas, each element was chosen to encourage flexibility, comfort, and student engagement. The learning commons spaces, music room seating, and mobile library shelving with integrated millwork were carefully planned to provide students with dynamic, creative spaces that adapt to a variety of activities. In addition, we supplied science room furnishings and administration office furnishings, ensuring that every corner of the school was equipped with functional, durable, and modern solutions.
This project demonstrates how thoughtful design and high-quality furnishings come together to create more than just classrooms, it’s about building a space where students can learn, collaborate, and thrive. Penhold Waskasoo Middle School is more than a building; it’s a foundation for future growth and a place where education and community meet.
