Paul Kane High School

Project Highlight: Paul Kane High School

We are excited to showcase our latest school furnishing project at the brand-new Paul Kane High School in the St. Albert Public School Division. This $40 million replacement facility, developed in partnership with Alberta Infrastructure and St. Albert Public Schools, represents a forward-thinking investment in education and community.

A Modern Learning Environment

Opening its doors to 1,500 students in Grades 10–12, the new Paul Kane High School is designed with one clear purpose: to create a functional, flexible, and healthy learning environment. Every detail reflects a commitment to both innovation and longevity.

Furnishing the Future of Learning

Our team was proud to provide a wide range of furnishings that bring the school’s vision to life. Hallway furnishings and soft seating nooks create comfortable spaces for connection and collaboration. The café space was outfitted with modern seating and tables, encouraging a vibrant social atmosphere. For focused work, we supplied privacy study areas designed for individual concentration. Finally, our learning commons furnishings and layouts were tailored to support group learning, creativity, and adaptability, ensuring students and staff have versatile spaces for every need.

Key Design Features

  • Natural Light: Generous fenestration and vision windows flood classrooms, commons, and corridors with natural daylight - boosting wellness and focus.

  • Flexible Learning Spaces: Operable walls and interconnected layouts allow teachers and students to reconfigure spaces as needed.

  • Distributed Learning Commons & Maker Spaces: Thoughtfully placed throughout the school to encourage collaboration, creativity, and hands-on learning.

  • Smart Spatial Synergies: The floor plan ensures program areas flow naturally, enhancing both efficiency and interaction.

A Lasting Community Landmark

The new Paul Kane High School is more than just a building, it’s a hub for students, educators, and the wider St. Albert community. Designed to be sustainable, durable, and economical, this facility stands as an iconic anchor for future generations of learners.

At Spaces Inc. we’re proud to have contributed to the furnishings that support these dynamic spaces, ensuring students and staff have environments that inspire excellence, innovation, and growth.
