The Edwin Parr Composite High School is a newly constructed facility in Athabasca, replacing the original 1948 building that had become worn and outdated after decades of use.
Designed from the ground up as a state-of-the-art learning environment, the school features modern 21st-century design principles, including a bright and welcoming learning commons and flexible classrooms with transparent sliding walls that adapt to both large group instruction and small group collaboration.
We partnered closely with school staff throughout the build to understand their specific needs, with a strong focus on creating Student-Centered Classrooms that support healthy movement—allowing students to sit, stand, rock, or wobble to help improve focus and engagement.
To fully support the school's flexible learning goals, we supplied versatile furniture from Virco, Artopex, and OFGO, all in Edwin Parr’s school colours, ensuring a cohesive look and seamless adaptability across all learning spaces.
