Blood Tribe Recovery Community
Project Highlight: Blood Tribe Recovery
Spaces Inc valued the opportunity to partner on the Blood Tribe Iitakamotsiipiohsopi Recovery Community by providing furnishings for this meaningful and historic project.
The opening of the Blood Tribe Iitakamotsiipiohsopi Recovery Community marks an important step forward in delivering Indigenous-led, holistic addiction treatment in Alberta. This 75-bed recovery community provides no-cost, land-based treatment for individuals facing addiction challenges, creating a supportive environment rooted in healing, culture, and community.
As the first of five Indigenous-led recovery communities opening across Alberta, this facility helps advance access to recovery-oriented and culturally appropriate care. Owned and operated by the Blood Tribe, the recovery community ensures that services reflect community priorities, cultural practices, local governance, and the vision of supporting Blood Tribe members in living holistic lifestyles within healthy communities.
The mission of the Blood Tribe Department of Health is to improve, promote, and deliver accredited health services on the Blood Reserve, while supporting Chief and Council in ensuring the protection of treaty health rights.
Spaces inc is proud to have contributed to a project that supports healing, dignity, and long-term wellness for the Blood Tribe community.
