Alberta School for the Deaf
Project Spotlight: Alberta School for the Deaf
Edmonton, Alberta
The Alberta School for the Deaf – Home of the Eagles – has been a cornerstone of education and community for over 70 years, serving Deaf and Hard of Hearing students from Grades 1 through 12. This recently modernized facility continues that legacy, offering a fully inclusive, language-rich, and culturally responsive environment designed to empower every learner.
The modernization focused on creating bright, accessible, and acoustically optimized spaces that support both communication and connection. Classrooms, learning commons, and collaborative areas were designed to enhance visual learning and interaction celebrating the vibrancy of Deaf culture while fostering student independence and success.
Spaces Inc. furnished this beautiful $54 million transformation, providing innovative, functional, and flexible furniture solutions tailored to the school’s unique needs. From adaptive learning environments to welcoming common areas, every piece was selected to support comfort, accessibility, and collaboration, helping students and staff thrive in a 21st-century learning space built for all.
